Kiama 7s Overview

Great event and great insights into season 2021.

Game 1 of the 2021 Kiama 7s saw the boys facing off against the Goulburn Dirty Reds. They came away with a 28-7 win where they controlled the possession for long periods of time. Passes went to hand, tackles were made barring 1 slip at the end of the 2nd half allowing a single try. Two tries to 18 year old William Edwards and tries also to Noni Batimala and Meli Valu. A perfect 4 from 4 from the boot.

Game 2 saw us taking on the Molong Magpies, with a comfortable 28-0 win, again controlling the pace of the game.

Tries to Aisake Tuevu and Salvador Ribeiro, with a double to Noni Batimala. Another perfect 4/4 from the boot.

Game 3 saw us square off against the also undefeated Parkes Boars with the winner headed to the final. An exchange of tries after a long range run by Aisake Tuevu and conversion from Pat Logan in the first half saw us ahead 7-5 at the break, but forced passes, unforced errors and a sluggish start saw the lead overturned and Parkes pulled away to finish the game at 7-15.

A tough finish to a great day shows signs of a promising 2021 15 a side season.

The next 2 weeks we have trials away to Campbelltown and Camden before Round 1 vs Uni.
